Shift Verification Capture Consent

“To verify your shift and pay you accurately, CareRelay captures three things when you clock in and clock out: a self-photo, the time, and your device's location at that moment. That's it — we never track your location between clock-in and clock-out or at any other time, and we don't use facial recognition. Your photo should show only you — never residents or care areas. Photos and location captures are kept for 60 days after the shift to resolve any pay questions, then deleted. If GPS fails, the facility administrator can confirm your hours manually so you don't lose pay. This data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.”

You give this consent by an affirmative tap in the app before your first clock-in. We log the consent with a timestamp and the version of the text you saw, the same way we log SMS consent.

• A self-photo at clock-in and again at clock-out.
• The timestamp of each clock-in and clock-out.
• Your device's location at those two moments only. Location permission is requested as “while using the app” (foreground) — never “always.”

• Track your location between clock-in and clock-out, or at any other time.
• Use facial recognition on your photo.
• Show your clock-in photos or location to the facility — they are visible only to CareRelay. The facility sees the resulting verified hours.

Photos and location captures are kept for 60 days after the shift — long enough to resolve any pay dispute — then deleted. This matches the retention window in our Privacy Policy.

If GPS fails, the facility administrator can confirm your hours manually so you don't lose pay. Declining consent means you cannot clock in through the app; the facility-admin manual confirmation path remains available at the facility's discretion.

This consent is kept separate from your other agreements so each one — SMS, screening authorizations, and this capture consent — is given cleanly and on its own. For how this data is used and shared, see our Privacy Policy.
